This sculpture was part of the series Teardrops of Memories at my latest solo exhibition 'Reimagining Geometry'. The sculpture is constructed with dried leaves of the harakeke (NZ flax), strung into forms that simultaneously appear futuristic and organic. The string is made from muka, the glorious fibre of harakeke. It can be displayed in your desired way, either on a flat surface, mounted on the wall or suspended. You can turn them to change their look. Enjoy a dynamic work that changes with light and viewing angle!
