This fragile taonga is a result of several beach walks, collecting the seed heads of the native grass spinifex, which are dancing along the beach this time of the year. Once washed several times to remove the salt and picked off the single seeds I have rearranged them holding tight with orange linen.
It can be hung on the wall like that or could be framed into a shadow box.
