Enjoy a full day of wet felting and create your own sculptural object using fine merino wool.
In this hands-on workshop you will:
- Learn how to create a three-dimensional sculpture using fine merino wool with a combination of resist techniques and hand stitching.
- Explore ways to shape, refine, and finish sculptural felt forms.
- Gain the confidence to continue experimenting with different resist techniques in your own practice.
This workshop is suitable for those who already have some experience with wet felting and would like to expand their skills into sculptural felt making.
To ensure plenty of individual guidance, the workshop is limited to just three participants. This intimate setting allows for personalized tuition, individual feedback, and the time and support needed to help each participant achieve the best possible results.
By the end of the day, you will take home your own unique felt sculpture, along with the knowledge and confidence to continue creating independently.
Most materials and tools are provided. The workshop fee includes refreshments and $25 worth of fine merino wool.
What to bring
- An old large towel
- An empty squeeze bottle with a pump top
- Additional merino wool (optional)
- Your own lunch (there are no cafés or shops nearby)
- Small amount of silk fibre (optional)
