I always find my Balance in the Woods has been assembled with mahoe sticks. Mahoe (also called whitey wood) is a predominant tree in the Wellington area and known for their straight and light colored branches.
The wood has been harvested on my daily walks, boiled, debarked and dried before twining together with waxed Irish linen.
The wood has been treated with natural Danish oil and the streel frame with treated for non rusting.
Size 1100mm x 250mm (highest point ) x 200mm (average lengths of sticks)
