This new work is from my Forest Bathing series using the process of eco dyeing on paper. I have gathered leaves from native trees such as makomako, kowhai, pohutukawa, manuka and ferns, dragging out their pigments by bundling the paper with the leaves and immersed in the dye pot.
No other dyes/paint/ink used.
The paper is sealed to protect it from dirt.
This small installation consists of 14 panels, the biggest 11cm x 29cm, the smallest 5cm x 5cm. The installation as shown is about 90cm x 70cm.
Fabriano water colour paper on birch ply wood.
The panels can be mounted as shown in the image or you can group them in your preferred way.
Included are fitting nails.
Avoid direct sunlight.
