Random weaving is an excellent technique to start your basketry journey. Join me for a day of learning and fun to create a little pod or nest using harakeke. Harakeke is great fibre for this project and you will learn how to use it right from harvesting including tikanga (protocol) for harvesting and working with harakeke.
After this workshop you will be able to weave your own pods and vessels in your desired form.
This workshop is suitale for absolute beginners with no previous weaving experience.
All materials and tools provided. Refreshments are provided, please bring your own lunch (no cafe or shops nearby).
